Curriculum Project

I'm having a great week!
My students are working on the RAFT assessments this week.  R-role, A-audience, F-format, T-topic.  They are busy completing written pieces and presentations on our science unit-forces and motion.  The majority of them chose to produce commercials and comic strips.  Both use technology and that has been the trend this year as far as what the students like.  The ones creating commercials are making them into iMovies, and sharing them through youtube.  The comic strips are being done through www.bitstrips.com which is another free website I have fallen in love with:)  I cannot believe what is out there online.  It makes me wonder how I taught before without all these online gadgets!

Websites I Love!!!

The following websites can be used for such a variety of activities, but I use it mostly for vocab work.  I absolutely love the following websites.  Oh Voki, where were you when I was a kid?  I would have enjoyed vocab work so much more.  The best thing is that they are all free!  What a great way to engage students and use technology in the classroom.  I use these at least once a week.

Week 5

I think this week's activity was great.  My classroom enjoyed the scenarios on cyberbullying and how it impacts kids.  I think they learned a great lesson from the activity.
My prezi can be found at http://prezi.com/btf_lhvo-ddm/forces-and-motion-review-presentation/  I set it up to review a science unit on forces.  I have used prezi in the past and always have good luck.  Uploading existing powerpoints is a breeze, but this one I started from scratch.  Hope everyone's week is treating them fair.
